High Point: Burkina Faso!

After returning from 10 days with the summer missionaries, we began a camp for middle schoolers that was part day camp, part Vacation Bible School, and part training school. They enjoyed it a lot and were able to learn a lot from Peter's life about ministry -- that sometimes it can be scary, sometimes it isn't fun, but it is always worth it. They focused on learning how to share the message of salvation with children and how to teach the songs at 5-Day Club in the training sessions. The students also "traveled" to Burkina Faso and learned about that country's needs and how a person might minister to the people there.

One of the great lessons helping fill out the understanding of ministry was discovering how God has SHAPEd everyone in His body to fulfill the ministry He has prepared for them.  He has given Spiritual gifts, a Heart or passion for some things, Abilities, individualistic Personalities, and leads each one through a variety of Experiences which all fold into a particular bent for ministry. We are praying that the Lord will lead some of these young teens into summer missions in the future and even full time missions. It will all start this summer as they help with 5-Day Clubs in Kanawha County.
